One thing I keep asking myself: how do you keep learning when you’re older without feeling like you’re “behind the curve”? I’ve spent decades in IT and business systems, but lately I’ve been diving into AI, trying to understand how it works, what skills I need to really use it well, and where it’s heading.
I’ve got a curious streak when it comes to this stuff, and I enjoy the challenge of learning something new. At the same time, I’m a firm believer that AI should be a tool that supports us, not something that replaces the things that make us human. I’m interested in finding that balance: being skilled enough to adapt, while staying grounded in real life and human values.
What about you? Have you taken on new skills in midlife? What are you focused on regarding personal growth? How do you balance the excitement of learning with staying true to what matters most?
